We were at sea yesterday a lovely calm sunny day. Restful and quiet we just relaxed on deck waiting to catch sight of dolphins and seals one good sighting of about 12 dolphins but no photos yet. Mo got mildly sunburnt sat in the shade! The day before we were in Coquimbo a stop I forgot about, so the pictures are from there. We did a tour of the city and surrounding areas another beautiful place, including stops at a museum, with Easter Island artefacts, a market with marvellous colours in the textiles, we also travelled briefly on Ruta 5 the Pan American highway 29000 miles from Alaska to Puerto Montt in Southern Chile. After the tour and lunch we visited a local fish market and saw lots of seals, pelicans and terns another Fab day. Love to all Mo and Rob
The next post will be Arica the City of Eternal Spring at Lat 18°28'S we crossed the Tropic of Capricorn yesterday at about 13:00.
A record of the places visited, sights and events on our travels since 2012 when we circumnavigated South America. Now in January 2018 we are globe trotting again.
