Half Moon Cay, Little San Salvador, Bahamas
The pictures are from our beach day yesterday when we called at the cruise ship island of Half Moon Cay. Our leaflet says "is one of 700 islands in the archipelago of the Bahamas ... 100 miles SE of Nassau and has 50 acres of its 2400 developed, the rest is being preserved for the wildlife".
The pictures show views from the "caban" a posh name for a beach hut, which we were invited to share by two lovely people Bernard and Mary, we relaxed and enjoyed just looking at the gorgeous blues of the sea caused by the white coral sand and sunshine, and the sound of the light surf breaking on the beach, bliss. Mo was shaded and I managed 2 swims whilst impersonating a beached white whale ;-)
Hope the pics give some idea of just how glorious it was, nice for a day in paradise, but too remote for longer.
Today at 1200 midday the officer of the watch informed us we were 2392 miles from our next port, Ponta Delgado in the Azores. We are day 1 of 6 in our return Journey back across the Atlantic Ocean. Writing this while sat in the shade of the port side of the ship on our balcony listening to the swell break gently on the side of the ship like the waves on the beach yesterday. As Mo says 'just perfect'. Love to all our family and friends Mo and Rob x.

Key West and Port Everglades
Today it is now 15:15 here in a Fort Lauderdale Mall, Florida. Went on Airboat on Everglades this morning on a tour, then shuttlebus into FL. Yesterday we had a lovely day wandering around Old Key West, we were the only ship in there so very quiet and a Sunday too, so only a few American visitors. Today Port Everglades had 5 other ships in, but they were all on changeovers, emptying old and taking on new passengers. Again quiet and very pleasant. Some pics but not very exciting. Try to post some more pics in Nassau tomorrow. Take care Mo and Rob x.
