Captain's Noon Report
In Pacific Ocean enroute Bora Bora, bearing 170°, quiet ocean one ship yesterday nearest craft on radar an aircraft 600m on way from Brisbane to Honolulu.

Travelled 890nm from Honolulu, 1400 nm to Bora Bora, so far travelled 13,062 nm from Southampton.

Lat: 6° 27 N Long: 155° 33' W apparently in the region of the ocean near Equator 0° 0' called the Doldrums little winds also know as the horse latitudes. 370 miles from nearest land Kirbar? (cannot read my own writing!).

We expect to cross the Equator at around 07:00am tomorrow Tuesday 13/02/2018 the ocean is 3500m deep (2 miles) winds are NNE Trade Winds Force 5 Beaufort Scale 28°C / 82°F humidity 77%.

Today I sat outside in the shade but got caught by reflected light - forgot the physics - see red photo :)
