It is Wednesday afternoon we are about to dock in Ponta Delgarda, on the island of San Miguel, in the Azores.
We were on our way to Bermuda to meet my cousin Martin Walsh and see the island sights with family. That is sadly not happening now.
It is currently calm with only 16 knot winds and temperatures around 61°F. Last day and night we had quite strong winds 29 knots with "heavy swell" seas, we did not make the formal dinner last night, due to slight queasiness on my part(Rob).
This unscheduled stop in the Azores is to allow severe weather conditions north east of us to pass before we set off again to New York due to arrive Tuesday am.
The pictures are from Queen Elizabeth today of the Atlantic with the exception of the one showing a ship, the Queen Victoria which sailed in tandem yesterday she has now gone on to Terceira - Praia de Vitoria.
May not be many if any posts now until New York on the 16th January.
Cheers Mo and Rob
